Theme 1: Green Materials and Processes for Printed Electronic Devices

Involving 10 faculty members from across Canada with expertise in materials design and synthesis, thin film deposition, electronic device fabrication and characterization Theme 1 aim to developed a portfolio of new carbon-based conductors, dielectrics, and semiconductors as well as new graphene and graphene-like materials processable in green solvents.

Universities

Main Objectives

  • Create synergy between researchers focusing on the development of a portfolio of new carbon-based materials or graphene derivatives (conductors, semiconductors and dielectrics)
  • Development of low-cost and green materials processed using environmentally friendly solvents
  • Integrate, Evaluate and Optimize new materials in real electronic devices
  • Evaluate operational and environmental stability of printed electronic devices (with Theme 2)
